Adrian Peterson the NFL football player who was indicted on child abuses charges earlier this week has been released from custody of the Montgomery County Jail, according to CBS Houston.
The Minnesota Vikings running back allegedly beat his 4-year-old son which resulted in severe injuries to the boy. Peterson claims he gave the boy a “whooping,” for pushing his sibling off of a motor bike video game. Peterson then beat the boy with a “switch.” The beating resulted in severe injuries to the child’s back, buttocks, ankles, legs and scrotum, along with defensive wounds to the child’s hands. Peterson then sent a text message the boy’s mother saying she would be “mad at me about his leg. I got kinda good wit [sic] the tail end of the switch.”
He also told the mother of the child that he hit the child in the scrotum in another text message saying “Got him in nuts once I noticed. But I felt so bad, n [sic] I’m all tearing that butt up when needed! I start putting them in timeout. N [sic] save the whooping for needed memories!” [sic]
